That’s why Heartland ECSI offers three (3) flexible levels of student loan billing service (ex: Full Service, Modified Service and Super Modified Service) to meet your needs both today and into the future.
From Federal due diligence compliance to data backup and storage and everything in between, we’ve got you covered. By partnering with Heartland ECSI, and regardless of the service level you select, we’ll allow you to focus on what’s really important by relieving you of the following administrative responsibilities:

● Data backup & disaster recovery
● Borrower, client and collection agency website maintenance
● Grace audit notices at 90, 150 & 240-days into a grace period
● Annual statement of account letters for ACH and coupon borrowers
● Monthly billing statements and creation and mailing of past due notices
● 60-day final demand letters, pre-acceleration notices, and and post-acceleration notices
● Courtesy borrower emails for payment reminders, payment confirmations, entitlement processing, etc.
● In-school student deferment processing & audit statement generation via the National Student Clearinghouse
● Monthly credit bureau reporting
● Monthly NSLDS reporting and error correction services -- 99.97% error-free rating
● Data interface file processing for awards, new loans, separation files, holds on transcripts, etc.
● Document imaging and storage for all checks, remittance statements, entitlement forms, etc.
Heartland ECSI’s Super Modified Service typically works best for clients who are properly staffed and are converting from existing In-House Systems. As a Super Modified Service client, you’ll know that you are always in compliance with Federal regulations, while still maintaining full contact with your borrowers. This level of service allows you to outsource all of the important “back office” functions that student loan servicing requires while providing you with the control and flexibility that you desire. Continue processing your borrower’s paper check payments and entitlement forms and still receive all of your borrower’s inbound phone calls.
Our Modified Service is almost identical to our Super Modified Service with the exception of paper check payment processing. As a Modified Service client, you’ll save time and relieve your administrative workload by allowing Heartland ECSI to process all your borrowers payments on your behalf.
